Diphupar gets a mini truck

Dimapur, April 28 (EMN): With the stated endeavor to keep the village surroundings clean, the Diphupar Village Council has informed that it has bought a “new mini dumper truck.”
The council issued a press release on Friday informing about a “flag -off ceremony” that was held at the Diphupar village council hall on April 28.
“…an introductory speech was given by Shri Lanu Toshi, chairman Diphupar village council (DVC).The chairman said the cost of the mini Dumper was 10,81,000 (ten lakhs eighty one thousand). The public contributed 4,48,000 (four lakhs forty eight thousand) and the remaining 6,25,000 (six lakhs twenty five thousand only) was pull (sic) from the Diphupar village council office fund,” the press release stated. He called upon the villagers to “take ownership and have civic sense” to keep the environment clean.
Jacob Zhimomi, parliamentary secretary for Irrigation and Flood Control was chief guest of the event. He congratulated the members of the council “for buying the dumper and for sensitizing the public for sanitation and waste material maintenance,” the press release explained.
“Zhimomi also said he would donate one ambulance for Diphupar village within a month period,” the press release stated.
The “blessing for the dumper” was said by Rev candid Sareo, pastor of the Tangkhul Baptist Church, Dimapur, it added.
