DDMA Kohima extend relief to Khuzama flash-flood victims

Dimapur, Oct. 23 (EMN): The District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) Kohima along with Advisor NSDMA and NSDMA Pukhayi Sumi, officials visited the flash-flood affected site at Khuzama on Oct. 23.
During the visit, Pukhayi expressed empathy over the affected families who have been rendered homeless due to uncertainty of natural calamity. He also informed that the department has arranged monetary reliefs to the affected house owners.
The team distributed relief items to the affected families under the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) as per the SDRF norms.
OSD, NSDMA Johnny Ruangmei also exhorted the community members gathered at the incident site.
The chairman of Khuzama Village Council expressed his gratitude to the visiting officials for their timely assistance and visit.
