Dimapur, Dec. 9 (EMN): In connection with the tragic accident of a Longleng-bound Tata Sumo that took place at Karbi Anglong, Assam, on December 7, in which four persons were killed and oneseriously injured, the deputy commissioner of Longleng, M Shayung Phom, has expressed sincere gratitude to the deputy commissioners of Dimapur and Diphu, superintendent of police Diphu, Bokajan police Assam, organisations and individuals for their timely intervention.
In a press release issued on Wednesday, the DC stated that the diligence and swift response enabled to complete all the necessary procedures and bring the bodies back to the district in a short time. He added that the timely action and quick humanitarian action was highly appreciated by the district administration and public of the district.
DC Longleng, on behalf of the district administration, has sympathised with deceased family members and prayed for the departed souls to rest in eternal peace.
