KOHIMA — The deputy commissioner of Kohima, Shanavas C, on Saturday stressed the importance of investing in children to ensure future development of the state, transcending tribal, clan and all classifications.

The DC was addressing the Kohima District Teachers’ Award ceremony held at the District Education Office (DEO) conference hall. Shanavas urged the teachers to be passionate about their profession and not waste their time or that of the students.
