Annoyed by threat and summon letter served to colony chairmen and GBs by certain secretary UT, GPRN/NSCN for not complying to collect ‘Labour Tax of non-locals’, Dimapur Urban Councils Chairmen Federation (DUCCF) today condemned the act and said such aggressive attitude and ill treatment on grassroots public leaders is uncalled for. DUCCF in a statement issued by its Media Cell said, it stood steadfast on the principle of ‘One Government, One Tax’ and that it had not collected any tax for the NPGs since the October 31st 2013 public resolution. The Federation urged the NPGs not to serve any taxation letter or to use pressure tactics against the DUCCF members. “The DUCCF would like to remind the NPGs who are aggressively pursuing their financial aggrandizement, that if all the NPGs could put the same level of energy and effort towards reconciliation and unity then the Naga National movement will be strengthened for better future.”
