Dimapur, August 1 (EMN): Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO), Changtongya, Chumlamo Humtsoe, has urged the government officials in the division to encourage local populace on entrepreneurship for their economic uplift and make them self-reliant.
Chumlamo said this in his address at the Changtongya Sub-Divisional Departmental Co-ordination Forum meeting held on July 31 in his office chamber. Reviewing minutes of the last meeting, Humtsoe called upon the house to encourage local entrepreneurship.
He referred to instances in which cash incentives was provided with 6 month rent free accommodation for opening a saloon at the Daily Bazaar building as decided in the last meeting. The saloon was inaugurated on July 6 by Head GB, I Sowa Jamir.
While expressing solidarity on the concern raised by the ward authority and Watsü unit on the irregularities of government officials, Humtsoe called upon the members to re-dedicate themselves to their work and discharge their duties with sincerity.
Humstoe also asked various departments to submit the list of departmental quarters to his office for documentation for the purpose of issuing patta in order to prevent encroachment.
