Children Festival and Carnival underway in Mokokchung

The first of its kind “Children festival and Carnival” for children’s age group between 4 to 16 years is underway at Imkongmeren Sport Complex, Mokokchung from today.
The event is organized by Children’s Evangelism Foundation based in Mokokchung in collaboration with King’s kids International (Youth with a Mission) under the theme “Calling a new generation.”
More than 800 kids from 13 churches including non-Ao churches are currently attending the carnival, which will be concluded on January 10.The “Children festival and Carnival” will feature spiritual teaching, staff, tricks and games such as painting tattoos with Bible verses. All teaching and workshop will be initiated by the King’s kids International team.
The King’s kids International team comprised of 23 members from seven countries; India, Germany, Finland, Latvia, Russia, USA (Alaska) and Taiwan.
Children’s Evangelism Foundation founder Alemla Apong, said the main reason behind organizing the event is to reach out the upcoming generation through faith and congregate them to spiritual nourishment. She also said it was a vision she had three years back to organize such an event.
It may be noted that, though the Children festival and Carnival is already kicked off, the participation from the children is much higher than expected. Kids from different communities are still registering their names to attend the auspicious event.
