Chiephobozou CHC observes World Oral Health Day
DIMAPUR — Under the aegis of the National Health Mission, Department of Health and Family Welfare, World Oral Health Day, themed “A happy mouth is a happy body,” was observed at Government High School, Nerhe Model village, under Chiephobozou block, Kohima.
The event was organised by Chiephobozou Community Health Centre (CHC) on March 20, according to a press release.
Dr. Asezo Sekhose, dental surgeon at Chiephobozou CHC, spoke about the importance of good oral hygiene and its impact on overall health. He also provided a brief demonstration of proper brushing techniques.
The winners of the essay and drawing competitions held on the occasion received prizes and certificates, and all teaching staff and students received an oral screening with free distribution of medicines, IEC materials, toothbrushes, and toothpaste.
In total, 45 students took part in the programme.
