Chakhesang youth affirms to undertake activities assigned by CPO
Dimapur, Dec. 12 (EMN): Chakhesang Youth Front (CYF) has resolved to carry out all the activities assigned to them by the Chakhesang Public Organisation (CPO) and not allow any illegal taxation and obstructions of developmental activities by any individuals, groups within Phek district, while it also resolved to check the quality of all developmental activities undertaken by the state and centre governments and report to the concerned authority for necessary action.
The resolution to this effect was taken during its 13th biennial general conference held on December 11 at multi-purpose hall in Pfutsero town with the minister of Planning and Coordination, Land Revenue and Parliamentary Affairs, Neiba Kronu, as the guest speaker on the theme “The essence of unity.”
Among other resolutions, CYF also resolved to reduce the two-day CYF biennial general conference to one day considering constraints in manpower, financial resources, time and logistic support.
It resolved to periodically check irregularities of public servants in the offices within those areas inhabited/ occupied by the Chakhesang community. CYF also decided to hold its general conference in an area wise manner on roster basis within its jurisdiction from the forthcoming session.
Addressing the gathering, Kronu stated that the government is working on improving the connectivity by undertaking various road projects in Phek district. He appreciated the stands of the CYF in supervising the two-lane projects being undertaken within Chakhesang areas.
He also urged upon the CYF to strictly enforce CPO resolutions on banning hunting and jungle burning, stated an update from CYF.
CYF president, Lhuvesayi Lohe, affirmed that CYF would continue to strictly enforce the CPO resolutions regarding the ban on hunting, jungle burning and import of pork to Phek district. He added that CYF would continue to support the concerned agency/ government for smooth implementation of the developmental projects/ activities within Chakhesang areas.

Meanwhile, CYF has approved new team of office bearers for the tenure 2022-2023 with Vezhoduyi Nakro as president, Seve R Vadeo as general secretary, Vipa Domeh and Nyitso Therie as vice presidents, Shuyeve Kezo as joint secretary, Kevesa Khamo as finance secretary, Kukhosa Rhakho as organising secretary, Liche Ritse as assistant organising secretary, Sevonyi Keyho as treasurer, Zakahi Vero as social and cultural secretary, Eyewekho Nusoh as assistant social and cultural secretary, Likalo Letro as press secretary, Vephulu Sakhamo as women coordinator, and Natii Lea as assistant women coordinator.
