BJP Chiechama unit endorses clean election movement

Dimapur, Sep. 23 (EMN): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Chiechama unit 11 Northern Angami-II has unanimously resolved to support the ‘Clean Election Movement’ spear headed by NBCC and churches on the slogan “One Man One Vote” to choose the leader of my voice.
“In the past 20-30 years common people didn’t know the value of their legitimate right to vote and right to choose their leader. Besides their legitimate right were dominated and snatched away by some goons and gluttonous agent of the corrupted leader. Many a time some were even denied and rejected to exercised their birth right to vote which left the poor seems they doesn’t possess the right to vote. There was never free and fair election in the constituency. This system had been practiced for such a long time by greedy and gluttonous agent to please their master to get the best and highest amount of contractual work of the works,” the press release from unit president, Zakietuolle Rüpreo and general secretary, Rüduolie V Rio stated.
The unit also said it is high time especially for younger generation to value one’s vote and select the right leader.
“It is our legitimate right to choose the best leader. It is time to realise the true potential of the power of voting by every section of the society. Let none buy or sell vote as time has come for us to vote for better Nagaland” the release added.
Meanwhile, the unit also extended its full support the ACAUT’s PIL for the deletion of 4 lac. bogus voters in the state.
The party appealed pastors and deacons’ board, women and youth department to step forward to fight against the menace and make it a successful mission.
