Dimapur, May 12
The Mon district unit of the All Nagaland School Teachers Association (ANSTA) has lent its voice in support to an ultimatum to the education authorities over the bifurcation of higher secondary from the secondary/elementary/primary schools.
A note from the ANSTA unit stated that it was extending its “unflinching support” to the 20-day ultimatum submitted by the ANSTA and NSSFOF on April 27.
“…in the event of government’s failure to address the issue at the appointed period, it will join the central body in any form of agitation as deem fit in the common interest of secondary/elementary/primary cadres,” the group stated.
The district’s ANSTA unit has urged the authorities in concern to “treat the matter on priority basis so as to avoid confrontation in the near future.”
