Awesome 05 wins JSU’s open penalty shootout

KOHIMA — Awesome 05 won the open penalty shootout organised by Jakhama Students’ Union (JSU) on October 28 at Jakhama local ground, defeating Konyak Students’ Union, SJC (A) Jakhama, in the final 3 – 2. 

Awesome 05 received INR 30,000 for winning the competition, while Konyak Students’ Union, SJC (A) Jakhama, received INR 15,000.

Sophietso Students and Southern Boots received INR 4,000 each as semi-finalists while Nokoi Konyak of Awesome 05 was named the best goalkeeper and received INR 2,000.

The penalty shootout competition featured 18 teams, and Atou Kharütso, manager of Indian Bank, attended the event and exhorted the players. 

The event was organised by the JSU in aid of the upcoming annual conference.
