ATMA Kohima opens organic tea farm school
DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 21
With the concept of farmers teaching farmers through practical knowledge sharing, farm schools were introduced through Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA). ATMA Chiephobozou block inaugurated Organic Tea Farm School at Phezha on November 21 where Mesechüü Kiewhuo was made the farm school teacher. She will share her long time experiences of tea cultivation in her garden to any aspiring tea farmers, researchers, and technocrats and alike. She will also partake in various capacity building measures under agriculture extension reform system of ATMA.
The farm school was declared open by DAO & PD ATMA Kohima Nosezole.
DAO called on all stake holders to further joined hands and make the farm school a real model farm for others to emulate. Earlier, Rev Dr Tsiebu Rutsa invoked God’s blessings and vote of thanks was pronounced by Mvüdzeviü Shüya (BTM ATMA Chbz.).
District heads of Agri. and allied departments along with officers and functionaries of ATMA Kohima attended the programme.
