DIMAPUR — The Angami Students’ Union Bangalore (ASUB) held its 22nd Freshers’ Day on the theme ‘Mhakemezhü chü tuokezhüu khrukhrekecü nu tuo zo’ on August 26 at El Jireh building.
The guest speaker of the event, Kevilhoubei Yiese, in his address, urged the freshers to recognise the pivotal role students can play in shaping the society by staying true to their purpose and aspirations, ASUB stated in an update.
Highlighting the nation’s progress in the global landscape, the speaker stressed that students too can contribute by adopting a similar pattern of focus and determination.
“Understanding our purpose and why we are here for is paramount,” Yiese said and added “Our collective role in society is more crucial than ever.”
Among the highlights of the event were the crowning of Vizo Seyie and Dzüzienuo Khro as Mr. and Miss Freshers.
“The event left an indelible mark on the attendees, inspiring them to embark on their academic journey with a renewed sense of purpose and determination. As the freshers look forward to the challenges and opportunities ahead, they are reminded of the imperative role they can play in shaping a brighter future for themselves and their society,” it stated.
