Dimapur, May 18 (EMN): Jairampur Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) organised a football tournament at Vijaynagar village, Changlang district, Arunachal Pradesh from May 12 to the 16th.
Eight teams from villages in Vijaynagar region participated in the competition, an update informed. The event was aimed at creating awareness about the importance of physical fitness, promoting sports activities amongst local youth of the region and weaning away youth from the clutches of insurgency.
