Imphal, March 24 (EMN): 5 JAK RIF of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South), on 23 March 2017 organised a ceremony at a prestigious Academy in which it sponsored Ten Meritorious Students, from financially weaker sections of society, undergoing coaching for professional exams. A cheque of Rs 3, 00,000/- (Rupees three lakh only) was handed over to the institute for coaching the students. The deserving and needy students, presently studying in various schools of Imphal, were extended the opportunity for undergoing coaching in a prestigious Institute and thereby gain adequate knowledge to open the doors for better tomorrow and gainfully contribute to the development of Manipur.
The Assam Rifles is committed in providing better opportunities to the youth of Manipur and thereby broaden their spectrum of overall growth. The parents of the young bright minds thanked the unit for the educational support to their wards.
