Dimapur, Oct. 25 (EMN): The Dao Division’s Army Camp apprehended two cadres of NSCN (U) in Charaideo district, Assam, in the early hours of October 23.
The individuals were resident of Wakching village in Mon district, Nagaland, and reportedly involved in arms dealing. The troops recovered 1 Chinese made .22mm auto pistol, 1 Thailand made .22mm pistol along with 5 .22 mm rounds and one mobile phone.

Responding to news article under caption ‘AR raid citizen’s house, Kohima, on October 19,’ Assam Rifles have clarified the troops conducted an operation along with local police representative based on specific information about the presence of NSCN (K) insurgents at the residence of Rusada Curhah near Kerala Church, Jail Colony, Kohima on October 19.
However, on arrival at his residence it was learned that no insurgents were present and no search was carried out.
Denying the allegations of search, theft of ATM cards and harassment were baseless, it has the news article as a deliberate attempt to tarnish the image of Assam Rifles.
