DIMAPUR — ANMA Integrated Development Association (AIDA) Don Bosco organised a one-day workshop on mushroom cultivation at its premises in Dimapur, which was attended by 22 participants. The workshop included both theoretical insights and hands-on practice.
According to a press release, the session aimed to equip individuals with the expertise necessary for sustainable mushroom cultivation. It was led by Lanthou Mark Gonmei, project manager, and Jerome Mungkung, livestock associate at AIDA.
During the session, participants learned about the intricacies of mushroom cultivation, gaining both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. The training emphasised the potential of mushroom cultivation as an alternative livelihood and highlighted the significance of sustainable agricultural practices.
Speaking on the occasion, the executive director of AIDA, Rev. Fr. Roy George, highlighted the workshop’s role in equipping participants with the necessary tools to pursue mushroom cultivation as a sustainable income source.
