AG organises inter-college duet singing competition

Principal Accountant General giving away pension payment order to a pensioner during an outreach mission held in Mokokchung town on November 25.

Dimapur, Dec. 4 (EMN): As part of Audit Awareness Week, office of the Principal Accountant General, Nagaland, organised an inter-college duet singing competition for colleges in and around Kohima on November 23 in the State Academy Hall.

An update from the office of the Accountant General stated that the competition was conducted in Hindi and English. The judges of the competition were Ameu Usou Zao, adjunct faculty of Nagaland College of Music and Fine Arts; Dr. Wenyitso Kapfo, assistant professor of Botany at Kohima Science College (Autonomous); and Temjentiba, senior announcer of All India Radio.

In the English category, Vevezo Curha and Sangroshi from St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous) secured the first position and won cash prize of INR 20,000 and certificates, while Keduovituo Peseyie and Gya Te-u Marhu from Nagaland College of Music and Fine Arts secured the second prize and won cash of INR 15,000 and certificates and Tajenyuba Kichutzar and Yongyo from Kohima Law College secured the third prize and won cash of INR 10,000 and certificates.

In Hindi category, Keduovituo Peseyie and Gya Te-u Marhu from Nagaland College of Music and Fine Arts secured first prize and won cash of INR 20,000 and certificates, while Huralu and Akenyu Semp from Kohima Science College (Autonomous) secured the second prize and won cash of INR 15,000 and certificates and Muzhimu and Shosinle Himb from Kohima College secured the third prize and won cash of INR 10,000 and certificates.

It stated that consolation prizes of INR 1,000 with certificate were given to all participants.

An outreach mission was also organised at Mokokchung town hall on November 25 with the participation of the deputy commissioner of Mokokchung, Shashank Pratap Singh. It informed that 64 nos. of personal copies along with 64 nos. of treasury copies of the pension payment order for Mokokchung, Wokha and Zunheboto were issued on the occasion. In addition, 24 nos. of revision of pension authorities were also issued.
