ACVA to observe 3rd foundation day

Dimapur, May 14 (EMN): All Commercial Vehicles’ Association (ACVA) has notified all commercial vehicles to stay off the road on May 17 till 3 p.m. on account of its 3rd foundation day celebration.
The resolution to this effect was taken at the consultative meeting of ACVA comprising Truck Owners’ Union, Bus Union, Mini Truck Union, Tata Mobile Union, ANTA Wokha unit/ local taxi and the Wokha District Auto Union (WDAU) on May 14 in its office chamber at 2 PM. The meeting was called to deliberate on its forthcoming 3rd foundation day celebration.
The house resolved that there will be no exit point on May 17 for all the Wokha bound commercial vehicles. It cautioned that anyone violating the meeting resolution would be doing so at their own risk adding stern action will be initiated against the defaulters.
After the formal function, the Association will hold election of the new office bearers. In this regard, every sub-union is directed to send two representatives each to ACVA. All the delegates from Dimapur, Kohima as well as from surrounding villages and circles plying under Wokha district are asked to be stationed at Wokha town from May 16.
A joint press release issued by ACVA president Y Bankathung Lotha and the general secretary C Renbi Ngullie have requested all the Wokha bound commercial vehicles to report at Wokha town public ground at 8:30 a.m. positively on that day.
