DIMAPUR — The District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) Longleng held its monthly meeting on August 9, chaired by Deputy Commissioner and Vice-Chairman of DPDB, W Manpai Phom, at the DPDB hall in Longleng.
The DC, speaking on the occasion, emphasised the importance of cooperation and coordination among officers and their presence in the district, according to a DIPR report.
He reminded the officers to carry out their assigned tasks as per the work distribution and to coordinate for the successful celebration of Independence Day in the district
The agendas discussed included the repair of potholes along the stretch of Longleng town. The house also addressed issues faced by the treasury office. The senior treasury officer of Longleng briefed the house that, due to power failures and a shortage of staff, they had been unable to perform their duties on time.
The district agriculture office, Longleng, showcased its departmental activities using a PowerPoint presentation. The DC instructed the medical department to present its activities at the next DPDB meeting.
Also during the meeting, new members were introduced: Mopling P Phom, EAC Tamlu; Dr. Lanu Chetla, district agriculture officer; and Chingkhap Konyak, senior labour inspector.
