CNCCI seeks assistance for Mokokchung fire victims

DIMAPUR — While expressing solidarity with the Mokokchung fire victims, the Confederation of Nagaland Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CNCCI) has urged the state government extend assistance to enable them start their business.

In an update, CNCCI called upon the government to stand up on the occasion and provide assistance financially, materially and other logistics in order to rebuild their lives.

It may be mentioned here that 62 shops were completely damaged, while 73 shops were partially damaged in a devastating fire which broke out at Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC) shopping complex on February  3 night.

“We are deeply pained not only for the material losses during the unfortunate incident but also more concerned about the livelihood of hundreds of family which has been affected and also for those involved in the indirect support system of the business ecosystem which may further involve hundreds of families,” CNCCI said.

On behalf of the business community of Nagaland, CNCCI has joined in the pain and suffering of its fellow businesses men and women of the MMC shopping fire complex victims.

CNCCI expressed hoped that such magnanimous decision by the state government would give sense of security to the younger generation to venture into the business and also send a positive message and seriousness of government of Nagaland of holding hands of business community in times of crisis and losses.
