Lotha Football Championship update: NRSA, Airfield FC, Titans XI register wins

DIMAPUR — NRSA, Airfield Football Cub and Titans XI registered wins on the fifth day of the ongoing Lotha Football Championship (LFC) organised by Wokha District Football Association (WDFA) at local ground Wokha.

In the opening match of the day, NRSA comfortably beat Young Brothers FC (YBFC) 4-0 with Sulanthung scoring a hat-trick and Mhathung scoring the opener.

In the second match, Yanchibemo scored two goals in 27th and 35th minutes to help Airfield Football Club defeat Englan Range Sports Association.

As per an update from the organisers, tournament’s favourites Friends Club managed to get a point against Vipers Club after the match ended in a 1-1 draw, with Renjamo scoring for the former and Lavanthung finding the equalising for the latter.

In the last match of the day, Tchuyiro FC defeated Titans XI 2-1.

Titans XI’s goals came from the boots of Nongothung and Renbithung in the 42nd and 69th minutes of the game, Chonben scored the lone goal for Tchuyiro FC.

1st match: Young Brothers FC vs Restoring Boys (10 am)

2nd match: XI Brothers FC vs NRSA

3rd match: Tchuyiro FC vs Englan Range Sports Association.
