Unity Cup T-20 Cricket Tournament: Supernova CC are champions
DIMAPUR — The 9th Unity Cup T-20 Cricket Tournament, organised by Nepali Baptist Church Chümoukedima Town Youth Sports Ministry, concluded at Chümoukedima Local Ground on Saturday.
Supernova CC beat Sky Warriors CC by 15 runs in the final to lift the running trophy along with a cash prize of INR 30,000, while the runners-up took home INR 20,000, informed an update from the organisers.
Santosh of Supernova CC was announced Man of the Match for his contribution of 40 runs and 1 wicket.
Among the individual awards, Ravi Thakur of Sky warriors CC was awarded Player of the Tournament; Avinash of United Strikers – Emerging Player of the Tournament; Subhas Batman of Supernova CC – Best Bowler; and Avinash of United Strikers CC – Best Batsman.
A total of 28 teams participated in the sporting event which started on January 6 with the theme ‘Solidarity for Peace’.
