Special athletes, senior citizens celebrate pre-Christmas
DIMAPUR — Special Olympics Bharat, Nagaland, celebrated ‘Special Christmas 2023’ at DABA, Duncan Bosti, Dimapur, on December 16 with the Christmas message delivered by DABA pastor Toshi Longkumer.
According to a press release, the event brought together special athletes, coaches, members, parents, and well-wishers. Singing, dancing, giving gifts, reciting Bible verses, playing fun games, and enjoying a Christmas feast were all part of the event.
Tovili Assumi delivered the benediction.
Meanwhile, the Tribal Old Age Home-cum-Day Care Centre at Thilixu village, Dimapur, held a pre-Christmas celebration with pastor Kenie Kiso of Life Square Church as the speaker and Seyiekhrietuo Solo as the special guest.
An update mentioned that during the celebrations, senior citizens presented messages in songs, and a special presentation was performed by Ivukhu Chisho. Testimonies were also shared by rescued senior citizens.
Director Imlitongzuk Amri shared the organisation’s 2023 reports, visions, goals, and activities on the occasion, and a special mission to reach out to 100 senior citizens with gifts and prayers was launched under the theme ‘Mission with a vision’.
The programme concluded with a Christmas feast.
