DIMAPUR — Deputy Commissioner of Kohima, Kumar Ramnikant, has lifted the ban imposed on slaughter, import and export of live pigs, and transportation of pork in the infected zones and surveillance zones (ASF) at Sechü (Zubza) with immediate effect.
The order came amid lapse of two months and having followed the protocol of ‘ National Action Plan’ for control, containment and eradication of African Swine Fever (ASF), as laid down by the government of India and with no further report of new outbreak, stated an official bulletin.
It further informed that the public should strictly follow hygienic and bio-security measures, to remain vigilant and report to the concerned authority in case of any unusual sickness or death.
