KOHIMA — The weeklong annual sports week of youth department of Chakhesang Baptist Church Ministers Hill, Kohima (CBCMHK) concluded on Tuesday at Police Reserve ground, Lerie, Kohima.
According to a press release from media and publicity committee of CBCMHK, the competition disciplines included football (men), volley ball (men and women), basketball (men and women), badminton (men and women), table tennis (men and women) and tug of war (general), 100 m race (men and wimen), 400×1 m relay race (men and women).
Team Bethabara emerged champions in men’s football while Team Bethel won men’s tug of war.
Addressing the closing ceremony, CBCMHK associate pastor, Thujoneyi Veswu, congratulates all the youths who took part in the weeklong event. He also gave away prizes to the winners and pronounced closing prayer.
Youth director, Rakidu Nukhu, in his closing remark, extended gratitude to the church for providing all the logistic support from day one.
