MGM HSS Dimapur observes traditional attire day
DIMAPUR — MGM Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, celebrated ‘traditional attire day’ on October 13 under the supervision of class teachers and principal Reji Abraham.
In a press release, the school mentioned that the motto of the event was ‘Let us teach our children our traditional values and help them to learn and respect others’ traditions as well’, and the goal was to foster a sense of belongingness and help the students develop a deeper connection to one’s own cultural roots.
On the day, the students from Nursery to Class 4 came dressed in traditional attire, displaying a variety of colours that reflected India’s diversity.
The programme was moderated by Madhusmita Pegu and Burlemla Longchar, and competitions were held with teachers assigned as judges.
On the occasion, vice president Rev. Fr. Giju George emphasised the significance of celebrating the traditional attire day and urged everyone to respect, love, and appreciate all cultures.
