Social Welfare department holds coordination meeting in Pfutsero

DIMAPUR — The director of Social Welfare department, Tosheli Zhimomi, held a coordination meeting with all the staff of DPO, DWO and ICDS of Phek district at Tourist Lodge in Pfutsero town on September 21.

An update from the department stated that all the Anganwadi workers (AWW) and Anganwadi helpers (AWH) under Pfutsero project attended the coordination meeting.

In the meeting, the director spoke on the various roles and activities of the district functionary besides emphasising on the significance of team-work.

It stated that the deputy director, Imkongzenla, expressed appreciation to the director for reaching out to the field level through tour programmes and for personally taking up important issues of the department.

The assistant director, Asangla Jamir, who is also in charge of Phek district tour and inspection, laid out the functioning aspects of the projects, while assistant director, Hebou Rio, stressed on the necessity of facilitating Aadhaar enrolment for all beneficiaries.

The coordination programme was chaired by Vekhoto Tetseo, CDPO, Chozuba, while an invocation prayer was said by Phoebe Tetseo, welfare inspector of Phek and the welcome address was delivered by Abi-i Peseyie, DPO, Phek.

A song was presented by AWW and AWH of Porba village and concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Alice Yepthomi, CDPO, Kikruma.

The director was accompanied by the additional director, Nokcharenla, along with other senior officials. The entourage also visited Kikruma and Pfutsero ICDS projects prior to the meeting.
