DIMAPUR — With an aim to introduce eco-friendly alternative to conventional plastic bags, the Jalukie Town Council (JTC) has launch biodegradable carry bags and products at the Women’s Welfare Hall in Jalukie town on Thursday.
Addressing the gathering as the special guest, the deputy commissioner of Peren, Vineet Kumar, commended local entrepreneurs for their efforts in developing those biodegradable carry bags and products. Highlighting their significance as a sustainable substitute for plastic bags, Kumar urged the business community to embrace the eco-friendly options and collaborate with the town council in fostering a cleaner and better future.
The event was presided over by EAC of Jalukie, Sizin Renttah, while the welcome speech and keynote address were delivered by ADC and administrator of Jalukie Town Council, TL Kiusumong Tikhir.
An informative presentation on the benefits of biodegradable products was presented by Talunibo and Nukuzo, proprietors of Warehouse 103.
