Kevengo-u Ngotha is Miss Phek 2023
Hailing from Khezhakeno village, Twenty-year-old Kevengo-u Ngotha was crowned Miss Phek 2023 in a glittering ceremony on August 25
KOHIMA — Twenty-year-old Kevengo-u Ngotha from Khezhakeno village was crowned Miss Phek 2023 in a glittering ceremony held at Town Hall in Phek on Friday.
While, 22-year-old Tsiawavi Nyuwi from Meluri village won the 1st runner-up and 20-year-old Botoli Wozah from Sumi village won the 2nd runner-up.
This year’s Miss Phek pageant was managed by Vogue Entertainment Nagaland (VEN), presented by Phek District Beauty Pageant and powered by Achievers Akademy.
After four days of grooming sessions, the grand finale was held with Dr. Neisatuo Mero, MLA government of Nagaland as guest of honour and Ezhotou Keyho, Femina Miss India Nagaland as the special Guest.
The judges for the event were: Danube Kangjam, winner of Sunsilk Mega Miss Northeast 18th edition; Jentiren Jamir, 2nd runner-up Miss Nagaland 2022; Kuno Resuh, Team Leader, VEN; Merenzungba Longkumer, Mr. India International 2022; and Sanjeev Tamang, Fashion Designer.
The event was choreographed and directed by Ravolu Chuzho, former Team Leader of VEN and Deputy Chairperson Miss Phek Foundation while Vilhousa Movi was the Managing Director (Event).
During the week-long event, various activities and grooming sessions were conducted including talent round to choose the subtitle ‘Miss Talented’ with Vekrolu Khamo, Former President, Miss Phek organisation.
Also, a Charity Marathon Race was organised to create awareness on girl child education under Miss Phek Foundation, a scholarship programme under the initiative of VEN.
A Seminar on Anti-tobacco was also conducted in collaboration with National Tobacco Control Programme (NTCP) and Phek Town Chakhesang Students Union (PTCSU).
