Priority to make Chümoukedima a model district — Zhaleo

DIMAPUR — Advisor, Urban Development & Municipal Affairs, Zhaleo Rio, said his main priority is to make Chümoukedima a modern model district.

The advisor who chaired the Chümoukedima DPDB meeting on Thursday at DC’s conference hall, said he is ready and willing to guide and help in whatever ways he can to make the new district a model district, a DIPR report stated.

Zhaleo urged the different departments to continue working and discharge their responsibilities with dedication and sincerity the betterment of respective departments as well as the district.

He also urged the departments to come forward, extend full support to the various central schemes and to highlight them in the meeting, as a “sign of good gesture and transparency.”

He further encouraged all the departments to come forward with positive views and suggestions to serve the people and for overall development of the district.

During the meeting, the house reviewed the last meeting and approved the recognition of Vihoshe village under Dhansiripar sub-division.

Other agenda deliberated in the meeting included registration of Magi Star Group Society at Tenyiphe-II village and approval for recognition of Rankanyan and Longsen villages under Dhansiripar.

The house also decided to take up recognition of Shikato village in the next DPDB meeting after due authentication and verification.

The house further decided to hold the monthly DPDB meeting every 10th of the month.
