‘Childline Se Dosti’ week observed in Mokokchung

Mokokchung, Nov. 21 (EMN): ‘Childline Se Dosti’, a weeklong national campaign that aims to make citizens stakeholders in CHILDLINE 1098, culminated on November 20 in Mokokchung district.

The campaign involved an array of events and activities across the country to spread awareness on CHILDLINE 1098, the emergency phone helpline number for children in need of care and protection.

In Mokokchung too, under the directive of the Childline India Foundation (CIF), Childline 1098  Mokokchung observed ‘Childline Se Dosti’ week  from November 14 to the 20^th by organising various activities to mark the celebration.

The Childline visited Unger village and sensitised the parents followed by distribution of stationeries to about 50 children.

Childline 1098 Mokokchung also conducted a signature campaign which was launched by the deputy commissioner and chairman, Childline Advisory Board, Mokokchung, Shashant Pratap Singh during a meeting of the administrative officers.

During signature campaign, the signatories also took pledge to help any children in distress or in need of care and protection.

More than 200 people participated in the campaign.

Childline 1098 also visited Lemjem Hospital and Woodland Nursing Home and handed over a frame with the Childline logo to both the hospitals, as a mode of our awareness campaign.

Childline 1098, in collaboration with District Child Protection Unit (DCPU),  Mokokchung, also created a child-friendly room at Police station -II, Marepkong ward. Childline acknowledged superintendent of police, KM Aotula T Imchen, for allotting the room.
