National Games: Manipur bags one more gold in Judo

Imphal, Oct. 7 (EMN): Manipur bagged one more gold in Judo on the ninth day of the ongoing 36th National Games in Gujarat.
Manipur is currently in the 8th position in the medal tally with 14 gold, five silver and 11 bronze medals.
The day’s gold medal in judo was bagged by H Sunibala in the women’s 63 kg category who defeated her rival judoka from Delhi.
Earlier, Commonwealth gold medalist weightlifter Saikhom Mirabai Devi won Manipur’s first gold medal in the women’s 49 kg weightlifting competition while her compatriot Kh Sanjita Chanu won the silver.
Interestingly, for the first time Ch Ranju Singh secured a gold medal in skateboard street (roller Sports) in the National Games.
