Dimapur, Oct. 7 (EMN): From a modest home-based baker and gradually nurturing into a full-fledged entrepreneur, Alila Pongener, a mother of four children, opened a boutique under the name “Lee’s M&B Mama and Baby Boutique” on October 7 under the tagline “Be the trendsetter.”
The boutique, located at The Native Crossing building opposite to Sub-Jail near Eden Hospital in Dimapur, was inaugurated by the advisor of Urban Development and Municipal Affairs, Dr. Neikiesalie Kire.
Speaking at the inaugural programme, Dr. Kire conveyed that Nagas should not just copy each other but be a trendsetter. He persuaded the workers and employees of any shop/business to be behave well with customers.
“They must respect the customers as they are the face of the work place and people will always be interested to come to a place with good customer care,” he said.
He also encouraged the entrepreneurs to keep working and not to give up even if they do not make a sale for a day or two.
A mother of three boys and a girl, Alila said that as a mother she saw fewer varieties in the market which sell for both mother and baby under one roof. While sharing that opening a boutique which caters to the need of both mother and baby was her long-felt dream, she stated with four babies of her own it was not possible to venture out. However, with the opening of her boutique, she stated her long anticipated dream was realised.
She informed that the products are sourced from retailers in Hongkong and China and not from the wholesalers. She, therefore, stated that the products will be limited with more varieties while quality will be the key focus of the boutique.
For those who cannot visit the boutique physically could also shop online through the boutiques instagram account at mamababy-nagaland, she said.
The opening of the boutique was blessed by the pastor of Dimapur Ao Baptist Arogo Merali Fellowship, Khariba.
