Dimapur, Sep. 29 (EMN): The Botsa-Sendenyu PMGSY Road Committee comprising of eight villages informed that no one would be allowed to disturb the contractors or workers with demands or tax collection.

The committee convenor, Timothy Thong, stated that the on-going PWD road construction under PMGSY from Botsa to Sendenyu via Tsiemekhuma, which was sanctioned in 2017-18, was delayed due to litigations. Now that work has started following the directive of the Gauhati High Court, the committee has requested the beneficiary villages not to disturb the contractors or workers at work site with demands or tax collection.

It informed that the road would lead to the first Naga flag hoisting site at Parashen and be black topped for the first time along with the adjoining villages. While upholding its earlier resolutions, the committee affirmed that it would not compromise with the quality in order to get the best out of the project.

It further sought cooperation from all the villages towards achieving its dreams.
