Nagaland: Weekly market inaugurated in Zunheboto town
Dimapur, Sep. 10 (EMN): A Friday weekly market, initiated by Zunheboto Range Students’ Union (ZRSU), was launched at Zunheboto town on Friday.
According to a DIPR report, president of Sumi Kükami Hoho, Kashito Yeputhomi, inaugurated the weekly market.
Speaking at the inaugural programme, Yeputhomi stated that the weekly market was a much-awaited wish of the people and appreciated the efforts of ZRSU. He also appealed to the consumers to continue encouraging the local vendors by buying organic edibles from the weekly market, which would in return benefit both the buyers and sellers in the long run.
The president of ZRSU, Gihuka Zhimo, in his introductory note, stated that the initiative to launch the weekly market was to provide local entrepreneurs a platform to exhibit country-grown organic edibles and also to showcase craftsmanship. He added that union aims to create awareness on self-sustainability.
