Stallion Poirou wins Best Manipur Pony Stallion, 2022

Imphal, March 16 (EMN): The Manipur Horse Riding and Polo Association, Manipur Equestrian Association and Manipuri Pony Society organised the ‘Best Manipuri Pony Stallion’ horse show at the Manipuri Pony Breeding Farm, Lamphelpat on Wednesday.

The horse show was sponsored by the Mangal Foundation, while doctors and interns from Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Services, Manipur judged the stallions based on various criteria as per international conformation and soundness of horses.

Stallion Poirou, owner Th Kaoba, won the Best Manipur Pony Stallion, 2022.

Stallion Lamyanba and Stallion Karu of Imphal Riding Club, Uripok won the second and third best Manipur Pony Stallion, 2022 respectively.

Cash prizes of INR 8000, INR 6000 and INR 4000 will be awarded to the best, second best and third best ponies of the horse show respectively.

The prizes will be distributed today (March 17) at the closing function of the 1st State Women’s Polo Tournament, 2022 at Manipuri Pony Breeding Farm, Lamphelpat.

Dr. Ksh Chourjit Singh, President, Manipuri Pony Society, H Deleep Singh (Retd.)President,  MHRPA and Dr.  Th Chaa Mangilal Secretary General, MHRPA were also present during the function.
