Nagaland records 32 new Covid-19 cases, no deaths

Dimapur, Sep. 16 (EMN): Nagaland recorded a single-day rise of 32 new Covid-19 cases on Thursday, taking the tally to 30,763 and active caseload to 505.
The state’s cumulative recoveries also increased to 28,669 with 43 more patients having recuperated in the last 24 hours, while the death toll remain unchanged at 634 with no fatalities reported.
According to an update from the department of Health and Family Welfare, 11 positive cases were reported in Dimapur, 10 in Kohima, five each in Mokokchung and Phek, and one in Wokha.
Of the 43 new recoveries, 25 were in Dimapur, nine in Mokokchung, seven in Phek, and two in Kohima.
Nagaland currently has 505 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 388 are asymptomatic, 84 mild, nine moderate on oxygen, 12 severe on oxygen, three in ICU without ventilator, and nine in ICU on ventilator.
In regard to district-wise distribution of active Covid-19 cases, Dimapur leads with 265 active cases, followed by Kohima with 100, 70 in Mokokchung, 21 in Phek, 20 in Wokha, eight in Tuensang, six each in Mon, Zunheboto and Kiphire, two in Peren, and one in Longleng
30570 new cases in India
India reported 30,570 new coronavirus infections on Thursday, taking the country’s overall tally to 3,33,47,325, according to data from the Union Health Ministry.
It said the death toll climbed to 4,43,928 with 431 daily fatalities.
Meanwhile, the number of active cases dropped to 3,42,923 with 38,303 patients recovering in the last 24 hours, pushing the cumulative recoveries to 3,25,60,474.
It stated that with the administration of 64,51,423 vaccine doses, the country’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage surpassed the cumulative figure of 76.57 crore.
