Nagaland records 27 new Covid-19 cases, 6 deaths on Sep. 13

Nagaland saw a single-day rise of 27 new Covid-19 cases on Monday, taking the infection tally to 30,657 while death toll rose to 631 following six more fatalities.

Meanwhile, the state’s active caseload declined to 580 after 56 patients recovered in the last 24 hours, pushing the total number of recoveries to 28495 till date.

According to an update by the Health and Family Welfare Department, 12 new Covid cases were reported in Dimapur, five in Mon, four in Kohima and three each in Mokokchung and Wokha.

Of the 56 new recoveries, 19 were in Dimapur, 10 in Kohima, nine in Mokokchung, eight in Mon, seven in Peren, and three in Phek.

Nagaland currently has 580 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 456 are asymptomatic, 80 mild, 11 moderate on oxygen, 18 severe on oxygen, seven in ICU without ventilator, and eight in ICUon  ventilator.

In regard to the district-wise distribution ofactive  Covid-19 cases, Dimapur leads with 312 active cases, followed by Kohima with 95, 72 in Mokokchung, 31 in Mon, 27 in Phek, 20 in Wokha, nine in Zunheboto, seven Kiphire, four in Tuensang, two in Longleng, and one in Peren.

27254 new cases in India

Meanwhile, India logged 27,254 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, taking the tally to 3,32,64,175, while the active caseload declined to 3,74,269, according to data provided by the Union Health Ministry.

The country’s death toll has climbed to 4,42,874, with 219 fatalities registered in the last 24 hours, while 37,687 recoveries pushed the total number of recoveries to 3,24,47,032 at 97.54% recovery rate.

The weekly positivity rate currently stands at 2.11% and daily positivity rate at 2.26%. As many as 74.38 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far under nationwide vaccination drive, updated the Union Health Ministry.
