Nagaland records 44 new Covid-19 cases and 2 deaths on Wednesday

The total number of Covid-19 cases in Nagaland has increased to 25,663 with 44 more cases detected in the last 24 hours but active caseload continues to decrease as recoveries outnumber fresh infections.

As many as 44 new Covid cases reported in the state on Wednesday with 15 in Dimapur, 14 in Kohima, five in Peren, three each in Mokokchung and Wokha, and one each in Kiphire, Mon, Phek and Tuensang, according to update from the department of Health and Family Welfare.

The state also registered 105 recoveries in the last 24 hours with 45 from Kohima, Tuensang- 21, Dimapur- 17, Zunheboto- 9, Mokokchung- 6, Kiphire- 5, and Wokha- 2.

This reduced the number of active cases in the state to 1070, out of which 936 asymptomatic, 80 mild, 25 moderate on oxygen, 16 severe on oxygen, six in ICU without ventilator and seven in ICU on ventilator.

In terms of district-wise distribution of active cases, Kohima accounts for 319, Dimapur- 281, Mokokchung- 229, Tuensang- 49, Peren- 45, Phek- 38, Mon- 36, Wokha- 34, Kiphire- 21, Zunheboto- 16, and Longleng- 2.

The state has also registered 23376 recoveries so far and 491 deaths with two more fresh casualties reported in the last 24 hours.
