Dimapur, May 8 (EMN): Diphupar Village Council (DVC), Dimapur, has revised the rates of pork, beef, buffalo, chicken and fish within their locality.
The head GB of Diphupar Village Council, Kekhwetsu Khutsoh, informed Eastern Mirror that the village council has issued a uniform rate for meat following complaints from the residents. He added that the revised rate was issued in consonance with the earlier rates prescribed by EAC Chümoukedima.
Khutsoh informed that the council has directed the butchers to maintain the rate in their respective area. While the rate of local meat could be different, he however stated that the butchers should follow the prescribed rates for the supply ones.
He stated that the council has not received any complaint of flouting prices of meat from the buyers till date. He also informed that council members, who were deputed to check such malpractices, have testified adherence to the prescribed rates.
He further mentioned that the council would soon hold a meeting to decide on what kind of action would be taken against the defaulters. He added that the council members would undertake checking on Monday to identify defaulters.
The order undersigned by the head GB stated that the revised rates would be enforced with immediate effect adding that taken would be taken against the defaulters.
