226 new Covid-19 cases reported in Nagaland; active caseload pushed to 1261

Dimapur, April 30 (EMN): Nagaland continues to witness surge in Covid-19 cases with 226 new infections and four deaths being recorded till 3 pm on Friday.
The minister of Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom, updated that out of the 226 new cases detected in the last 24 hours, 137 were in Dimapur, 74 in Kohima, 10 in Tuensang, two in Wokha and one each in Mon, Peren and Zunheboto.
He added that 12 patients — eight in Dimapur and two each in Kohima and Mokokchung – recovered during the same period of time.
According to the Health and Family Welfare department, the state has currently has 1261 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 1167 are asymptomatic, 59 mild, 16 moderate on oxygen, 15 severe on oxygen, one critical-ICU with oxygen and three critical-ICU on ventilator.
The state also registered 13976 Covid-19 cases, 12224 recoveries and 104 deaths, out of which 10 have been ruled “not Covid-related”.
In regard to district-wise distribution of active Covid-19 cases, Dimapur has 965, Kohima – 222, Mokokchung – 23, Tuensang – 20, Phek – 9, Mon – 8, Longleng – 5, Peren – 3, and two each in Kiphire, Zunheboto and Wokha.
