Dimapur, April 28 (EMN): In pursuance to the government’s order and in order to contain spread of the novel coronavirus, Naga Tribal Union Chümoukedima Town (NTUCT) and the Chümoukedima Chamber of Commerce and Trade Association (CCCTA) have issue guidelines for strict implementation.
In a joint press statement, NTUCT president Lhousito Khro and the CCCTA president James Kin have directed all the shops selling daily essentials and other basic needs not to hoard items and hike the rates by taking advantage of the raging pandemic. It warned that any business man found indulging under such covers would be severely punished.
Informing that there were enough food stock, the two organisations have advised the public not to flock to the market for unnecessary panic buying.
It also called upon the town council administrator to strictly enforce the laid down norms and SOP during the lockdown period with the help of sufficient police force and frontline workers. In this regard, it stated that NTUCT and CCCTA are ever ready to assist the local administration whenever called upon.
All GBs and ward chairmen are requested to identify and strictly monitor persons coming from outside and ensure that they are self-isolated at least 10 days if no Covid-19 negative test report is produced on arrival. It also advised the public to remain at home for safety measures and go out only in emergency cases.
It further directed the public to mandatorily wear face masks, adding that a fine of INR 100 would be imposed against the defaulters.
