Dimapur, March 3 (EMN):
The Western Sumi Students’ Union (WSSU) launched a four-month free coaching on NPSC and UPSC (GS foundation course) for Sumi civil service aspirants. The inaugural programme was held today at Creative Learning Institute, Vikiye centre, Dimapur.

Speaking at the programme, WSSU president, A Kughato Achumi, informed that the western Sumi comprises 11 areas adding they came up with the programme to let every Sumi civil service aspirant take part in the free coaching programme. Achumi also informed that they would invite teachers from Delhi as well as local teachers for visiting lectures from time to time. While the initial plan was to give coaching for four monthly only, he expressed the possibility of extending the period.

He shared that 120 students have registered for the free coaching and are divided into morning and evening batches (60-60). He further mentioned that they are planning to prepare them for mains if anyone clears the preliminary round. He informed that regular classes would commence from March 4. He stated that the coaching fee amounting around INR 30 lakh would be managed by the union.

The managing director of Creative Learning (erstwhile Discovery IAS Academy), Sukhavi Yepthomi, encouraged the students to take the opportunity of the training and make it as a stepping stone for their career. Do not take this free coaching for granted, he reminded.

The president of Western Sumi Hoho (WSH), Kakheto Zhimomi, also encouraged the students to take the training seriously and ensure what they want to be in life. With the change in generation, he reminded that it is not easy to get jobs now adding people have started to look for real skills. He further asked the students to have self-determination and take pride in it.

The dedicatory prayer was said by Rev. Pughoto Sema, WSBAK executive secretary.
