Urgent Need for Recommitment towards Good Telecom Services
To,
The Chief Executive,
Reliance Jio Infocom Ltd., Dimapur
Dear CE,
Greetings from another of your aggrieved customer in Medziphema, Nagaland!
Since its august launch in 2010 from the famed Navi Mumbai headquarters, Reliance Jio has progressed and developed at a pace no rival can match and I suppose we can proudly proclaim ourselves, your customers, as being part of the family because we are paying the esteemed company with our sweat-earned wage in exchange for uninterrupted, quality internet service from your end.
In a sentence, the service provider did render commendable service to its family members during the early years but sad to say, it has gone from bad to worse in recent years, especially for rural and suburbs like Medziphema where we experience more than frequent shutdowns without prior information.
We all know that it wrestled power from giants at a time when one veteran politician too knocked the air out of his opponents and while the government is still going strong without any walking aid, etc., it appears as though our once reliable Reliance Jio is up for grabs, jostled around by internal busy-ness of high ranking shahibs! If not, why else would it be relegated in providing internet service?
For your kind information in particular, Jio service has become very irregular with poor, slow internet services in our area/ subdivision for more than a year now. Our countless complaints lodged are always flipped aside with empty promises everytime we seek immediate intervention for quality services. Amid the regular shutdowns and poor network in Medziphema area, Jio services went off our screens en toto on Feb. 27 around 9:00am and was restored only by noon the next day. That’s over 24 hours of our money wasted in vain. To pick more out of our tight wallets, it suddenly disappeared again on March 1 around 3:00pm and was restored only after 8:00am on March 2, 2021.
Note: A simple calculator may ease calculation of the total amount that can be pocketed from such frequent shutdowns in consideration of the number of Jio’s family members, i.e. customers. Can anyone argue that it is daylight robbery if parents simply siphon off their children’s money without providing essential services to family members?
To cut short, we earnestly appeal that Reliance Jio win back the confidence of its family members at the earliest by providing the best uninterrupted internet service in Medziphema area. As of today, we seldom experience
4-5 bars in the network status and towards evening, the network speed is at its worst when its overcrowded family members log in for dinner & vesper browsing which is usually the peak hours of using internet facility.
As a family, let us realise that we basically need one another and our dependence will only grow if we commit our best for each other!
Thejangukho Yalietsu,
Medziphema Town
