Dimapur, March 2 (EMN): The district administration and DLCW –MSK under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) organised a one-day awareness programme on PCPNDT Act (pre conception and pre Natal Diagnostic Technique Act) and free medical camp on Feb. 28.
The programme was held in collaboration with the department of Health and Family Welfare, Sakhi- One Stop Centre and PMMVY (Pradhan Mantru Vandana Yojana- Maternity Benefit Scheme) at Longsachung village community hall in Wokha district, a DIPR update informed.
Case worker-Sakhi-One Stop Centre, Thungbeni Kikon highlighted on PCPNDT Act and OSC, while Emilo, assistant district co-ordinator PMMVY enlightened about the benefits of Pradhan Mantru Vandana Yojana- Maternity Benefit Scheme.
Meanwhile, Dr.Thungjamo Jungio, medical officer, Primary Health Centre, Nyiro, sensitised the villagers about the Covid vaccination and encouraged all to avail the vaccine for healthy life.
Later, a free medical camp was also conducted for the villagers where 672 patients for various ailments.
