Dimapur, March 1 (EMN): Minister for Soil and Water Conservation, Geology and Mining, V Kashiho Sangtam inaugurated Hausum Khel Resort at Poilwa in Peren district on Feb. 27.
Speaking during the programme, Sangtam encouraged the villagers to “promote eco-tourism and generate employment avenues through Tourism industry”.
Sangtam also advised the people to protect its flora and fauna, an update informed.
The resort monolith was dedicated by Rev. Peuhau N Hau, pastor, Hindi Baptist Church, Dimapur. Methaneilie Julakhrie, Naga singer, music-composer, and poet also presented a song during the event.
Vatsu Meru, former minister, Abeü-Meru, president of Naga Mothers Association, KC Angami, Class-I contractor, district administration officers from Peren district and others attended the meeting.
The minister was accompanied by Advisor for Tourism Art and Culture, Khehovi Yepthomi; commissioner and secretary, Soil and Water Conservation, Geology and Mining, K Libanthung; K Zhekheto Awomi director (Soil & WC), Chubaonen joint director (Soil & WC) among others.
