Nagaland Covid update: Two deaths, 103 fresh detection

Dimapur, Nov. 22 (EMN): Two more Covid-19 deaths and 103 new cases were recorded in Nagaland on Sunday, according to the state’s Health department.

With this, the number of Covid fatalities in the state rose to 59, out of which six have been declared ‘not Covid-related’. Four more deaths are currently under investigation, it informed.

As for the caseload, Nagaland’s tally reached 10,777 with the fresh batch of detections on Sunday. Out of this, 1406 cases are active.

Till date, the state has recorded 9203 recoveries; 105 cases have migrated in the same period.

Out of the 1406 active cases, 1365 are asymptomatic. Among the symptomatic cases, 16 are mild, 15 moderate on oxygen and three severe cases on oxygen.

Seven critical cases are in ICU: five without oxygen and two on ventilator support.

As per the segregation of cases, 4473 of the 10,777 cases (45%) are armed forces/police personnel, 4044 traced contacts (29%), 1753 returnees/travellers (21%), and 507 frontline workers (5%).
