AB-PMJAY orientation meeting held in Mokokchung

Dimapur, Nov. 21 (EMN): A re-orientation meeting on Ayushman Bharat, PradhanMantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) health scheme, was conducted at chief medical officer’s conference hall in Mokokchung on November 20.

Dr R Chubala Aier encouraged the participants to participate in the Ayushman Bharat health care service.

Limatenzuk, district coordinator AB-PMJAY, stated that the health scheme is the world’s largest insurance scheme fully financed by the government.

“It is a cashless access to health care services for the beneficiary at the point of service in the hospital,” an update on Saturday informed. He also explained about district-wise number of individual card issues and ECHP performance.

Another training was conducted on November 21 where the SMOs, MOs and asha coordinators were trained on NCD population based screening, it said. Dr. Kibangkumba, deputy chief medical officer, trained the trainees on community based assessment checklist (CBAC) for early detection of NCDs and tuberculosis, it addded.
